UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

GJFC PLAYING JUMPER/JERSEY

The club will supply a set of jerseys to each team for the season. Team Managers will work out the appropriate sized jersey for each player at the beginning of the season, and that will determine a players jersey number. Jerseys are handed out to players prior to each game starting and must be returned at the end of each match before leaving the grounds.

GJFC PLAYING SHORTS

Players in Year 3 and above are required to purchase their own pair of Gosnells JFC playing shorts for individual use. These can be purchased online via our merchandise shop or in person on on selected training nights.

GJFC PLAYING SOCKS

Players in Year 3 and above are required to purchase their own pair of Gosnells JFC playing socks for individual use. These can be purchased online via our merchandise shop or in person on selected training nights.

GJFC CLUB SHIRT

Youth players (Year 7 to 12) are required to wear the current Gosnells JFC Club shirt to and from matches. Black pants are also required to be worn and can be purchased from department or sporting stores. Sports brands/logos are to be minimal.

FOOTBALL BOOTS

It is recommended that players in Year 3 and above wear football boots for both training and matches. No sharp edges or exposed metal is allowed. Umpires will conduct a boot check prior to the start of each game.

MOUTHGUARDS

Gosnells JFC strongly recommends that all players wear a mouth guard when participating in either training or matches from Year 3 and up. Mouthguards have been proven to assist in the prevention of injuries to the teeth and face.

COMPRESSION CLOTHES

Modified Football (Years 3 to 6) - Compression undergarments (Skins, Under Armour etc) of any style, colour or length may be worn. Players are not permitted to wear trackpants, jumpers, jackets, or hooded garments under their football playing uniform during a match.

Youth Football (Year 7 to 12) - Players may wear compression undergarments (Skins, Under Armour etc) of a short length without a permit, however they must be in line with the Gosnells JFC playing shorts or be of a neutral colour (black, white or beige). Players are not permitted to wear non-compression clothing such as t-shirts, jumpers, jackets, or hooded garments under their football playing uniform during a match.

JEWELLERY

Players are not permitted to wear jewellery during matches. All piercings must be removed and are not permitted to be taped.

Medical bracelets are able to be worn however they must be completely taped and marked ‘MEDIC’.

PRESCRIPTION GLASSES

Players who wish to wear prescription glasses or goggles during matches and training sessions should wear glasses or goggles with plastic frames and lenses. A band must also hold the glasses on securely. A permit is not required as long as these conditions are met. Sunglasses of any type are not permitted.

PROTECTIVE GEAR

A player who desires to wear protective headgear during a match must ensure it is made of soft, lightweight padded material that is suitable for football. Inspection of the head gear prior to each match should ensure it is not dangerous to the player wearing it or any other player. A permit is not required. Hats are not permitted.

A player who desires to wear protective breast protection such as Zena Z1 or Boob Armour is able to do so without a permit required.
